The BMW M3 DTM was presented in their full livery to selected the public, including things like BMW customers and guests, in Heidelberg, Germany yesterday. 48 hrs prior to the car makes an appearance as part of the season-ending DTM event at the neighboring Hockenheimring, selected members of the public ingested a glimpse of the modern livery and traditional M colors. The producer, which will re-enter the championship buy after having a 20-year absence, presented your vehicle in the traditional white, blue and red motorsport livery.
“Old-school DTM fans will recognize from the typical BMW M stripes that this appearance will be based upon the initial BMW M3 cars through the ‘old DTM’. Were very pleased with this design. It is both traditional and modern in equal measures. It shows our roots, however in a modern day style,” said BMW Motorsport Director, Jens Marquardt, in the unveiling with the BMW M Performance Accessories M3 DTM. Marquardt also asserted the M3 on display was “close to to be a definitive version,” with the car which will race, with room still readily available for design tweaks in my opinion made during its ongoing testing program.

“We have until March pick up when every item has to become homologated, so I’m sure there could be little alterations in some areas in the end seek out more performance,” he said.
Alongside the other two manufacturers involved in the series, BMW will complete demonstration laps which consists of new cars directly before a final race of the 2011 DTM season.
The BMW M3 DTM was revealed towards the public in my ballet shoes with the DTM event in Munich on 15th July. Ever since then, BMW Motorsport has completed numerous successful test sessions together with the newly developed car. BMW will be represented by three teams inside DTM in 2012, each running two BMW M3 DTM cars: BMW Team Schnitzer, BMW Team RBM and BMW Team RMG. Two BMW drivers have already been confirmed for 2012, available as Andy Priaulx (GB) and Augusto Farfus (BR).
